D Brown Building Contractors Ltd is proud to announce the completion of four newly built one-bedroom council flats on Elizabeth Road, Stamford. These flats have been constructed as part of our commitment to delivering high-quality housing to meet the growing demand for affordable homes in the region.
Two of these properties have already been allocated to residents from Lumby’s Terrace, Stamford, who are temporarily relocating while essential repairs are carried out on the listed houses in that area. The remaining two flats will be offered to individuals on the South Kesteven District Council housing register, further addressing the need for affordable homes.
Meeting Local Housing Needs
We recognise the importance of providing homes that not only offer quality living spaces but also meet the specific needs of the local community. As noted by South Kesteven District Council’s cabinet member for housing, Virginia Moran, there is a high demand for affordable homes across the district. These new flats, along with other ongoing projects like the Trinity Road development of bungalows, are key to addressing these housing needs.

The Elizabeth Road flats were completed on schedule, despite challenging weather conditions earlier this year. These flats are designed with modern living in mind, featuring parking, solar panels on the roof, and infrastructure for electric vehicle charging—making them both sustainable and future-ready.
Looking Ahead
The successful completion of the Elizabeth Road development is just one step in our ongoing work with South Kesteven District Council. Next, we will begin work on 19 homes at Larch Close, Grantham, with construction set to start in November. We remain committed to delivering high-quality, affordable housing that enhances the community and provides for those most in need.
